A&A Organic Farms in Watsonville, California will launch its Wellness Shot Kit at the OPS Show on July 13th in Monterey, California. The new pack is a one lb. clam shell consisting of eight ounces of organic ginger and eight ounces of organic turmeric.
The kit was designed to help the end user have easy access to fresh, organic ingredients used for juicing. The combination of fresh turmeric and fresh ginger offers wellness benefits due to their anti-inflammatory and phenolics properties. Compounds like curcumin in turmeric and gingerol in ginger have been well-studied to show health benefits.
In April this year, the Produce for Better Health Foundation’s annual conference reiterated grocery stores are now part of the healthcare ecosystem. A & A Organic Farms offers all the ingredients for a healthy juicing lifestyle. Along with the kit, it offers a variety of juicing components for retailers and distributors including organic citrus (Valencia oranges, limes, lemons and grapefruit) along with other organic fruit that can be used in smoothies such as strawberries, mangos and garlic.

A & A Organic Farms has been an exhibitor at the Organic Produce Summit since 2017. In 2018, the company won The Most Innovative Product award for its strawberries in Ready Cycle compostable packaging. “We feel the OPS Show is a great place to introduce our new products,” says Andy Martin, president. “Many retailers and distributors travel from all over to come to this show that is in our backyard, the Central Coast. We love to be able to highlight a sampling of our produce.”
The new packaging has a unique UPC number 8 14767 01305 6. There are eight one-pound clamshells per box and 108 boxes per pallet. The labeling is both English and French, so it is Canadian-compliant.
Samples of the kit will be on display at its booth (#914) and in the New Products Showcase at the OPS Summit. They are also currently available for purchase.
