Pomegranates and arils delivered to a higher number of clients

December confirms itself as an important month for pomegranates both in Italy and abroad. Dario De Lisi, sales manager at Masseria Fruttirossi, knows this fully well and reports that "sold volumes are higher than during the past seasons thanks to the higher number of clients, who recognize us as a reliable supplier capable of guaranteeing constant quantities for a longer period of time."

The sales of arils in punnets, available in the 100 and 150 gram format, are also lively. "We have been registering a growth in the volumes of arils since October. People like this product a lot and we believe we are rather competitive as we can manage the whole chain from production to packaging."

The manager reports on how sales are going in Europe a few hours after the third container left for the Arab Emirates.

Switzerland.
The Swiss market is one of the most promising for Masseria Fruttirossi. Compared with the past season, volumes have increased by 20-25%. "Last week alone we shipped 66 pallets. We have a very busy schedule, with two semi-tractor trailers every 7 days."

Germany.
"The increase is close to 25% here too but, most of all, we register n early start of the season here. Up until last year, supplies to Germany started in November while, this year, we started already in September. There are 70 weekly pallets destined to the German market, which exceed 100 when special promotions are planned."

France.
Quantities are lower than those sent to other European countries, but there is still a 10% growth with respect to 2022.

Great Britain.
After last year's experimental phase, shipments are more regular. Supplies started in October and are planned until early January. "We are supplying British multinational Marks & Spencer's, which makes us very proud."

Italy
"The domestic market is satisfying, especially this year as our client list has increased considerably. We have over 20 clients in all of the regions between wholesalers and big retail chains. The 2023/24 season is going well: we have sold around 60% of the produce harvested. If we were to maintain this rhythm, we could cover the whole of January with no problems. We are expecting however to end earlier than our plan to prolong the campaign until March/April."
