Photometric Application Technician

We are currently seeking someone to fill the position of Photometric Application Technician who will report to the Vice President of Global Sales Operations. As a collaborator in the GSO team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing lighting plans tailored to the needs and realities of our clients. You will work closely with our sales, project management, and research and development teams to provide optimal and innovative lighting solutions. Additionally, you will contribute to the improvement of our processes and documents related to lighting simulations. Your knowledge and expertise will be valuable assets that contribute to the success and growth of our team.

 

Your day-to-day looks like:

●      Collaborate with the sales team to fully understand the requirements of each project in order to propose optimal and innovative lighting solutions;

●      Carry out photometric studies using specialized software;

●      Prepare detailed reports including photometric calculations and lighting analyses for clients;

●      Evaluate current lighting and propose improvements based on industry standards and best practices;

●      Manage photometric files;

●      Provide technical support and expertise to the research and development team in the development of new lighting technologies;

●      Develop and optimize processes and templates related to lighting simulations;

●      Any other tasks supporting the sales and operational sales team;

 

What you need to join our team:

●      College education in Engineering Drawing, building technology, Technical Drawing or equivalent;

●      3 years of experience as Photometric application Technician or a similar position;

●      Practical experience in lighting design and the use of lighting modeling software (an asset);

●      Knowledge of AGI32 software from Lighting Analysts or equivalent software (an asset);

●      Knowledge of 2D, 3D software for consulting plans;

●      In-depth knowledge of lighting standards, IES Montreal lighting training (an asset);

●      Basic knowledge of electricity (an asset);

●      Good ability to manage priorities;

●      Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English;

●      Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary team;

●      Good teamwork and openness to change;
