Drought emergency and water searches in the subsoil

"We are not drillers, we recommend where to drill"

The lack of precipitation in winter and the growing problem of the lack of water in agriculture is bringing HydroHunter Italia, a company constantly at work to search water in the Italian and European subsoil, to deal with the requests and perplexities of those looking for irrigation water during emergency periods.

"Many believe our work consists in providing "turnkey" wells, and ask us for the cost. But we are not drillers, we identify the suitable spot where a drill must be placed and communicate the depth at which water reserves or layers suitable for the circulation of water can be found using technological equipment. Multiple times, we have had to tell entrepreneurs that it would be useless to drill, as the soil provided no positive results in terms of volumes (e.g. liter per second)," stresses pilot Vincenzo Orso.

HydroHunter Italia provides all agricultural businesses with a free preventive geophysical analysis so as to limit and optimize the cost of any investment for a well. "We have received multiple requests for a quote since the beginning of 2024. The more the need for water increases and the more we approach the warm season, the more clients have the urgent need for suitable water procurement."

"While it is true that is has been raining recently, we must also note that May and June were very rainy in 2023, yet the summer and fall were torrid and dry, so there might still be a drought."

Over the next few days, HydroHunter Italia will visit Bulgaria for important research on 680 hectares destined for vineyards.
