Tesco is cutting the cost of essential Easter vegetables to 15p for Clubcard members, alongside offers on meat, fish, chocolate eggs and hot cross buns. France: Carrefour to repurchase 25mln shares from Galfa
French retailer Carrefour has agreed to buy back 25mln of its shares, representing around 3.5% of its capital, from Galfa, a subsidiary of Motier. Following the transaction, Galfa's stake in Carrefour will represent 7.71% of the capital and 13.3% of the voting rights.

Amazon has been fined 31mln zlotys ($7.8mln) in Poland for misleading customers about product availability and delivery dates, consumer watchdog UOKiK said. The regulator said it had received complaints from customers who did not receive their orders.

Shufersal, Israel's largest supermarket chain, reported record profit in the fourth quarter, citing strong demand for food and other items. US: Kroger to close 3 e-commerce fulfillment facilities
Kroger is closing three spoke facilities as part of its e-commerce hub-and-spoke network with Ocado on May 25, a spokesperson for the grocer confirmed. The soon-to-be-shuttered facilities are in Opa-locka in South Florida, and San Antonio and Austin, Texas. "Despite our best efforts, including the support from new customers, learnings from other locations and the incredible work of our associates, the Miami, Florida, San Antonio, Texas and Austin, Texas facilities did not meet the benchmarks we set for success", Kroger spokesperson April Martin said in an emailed statement.
