Peruvian ginger exports total 15.5 million in the first two months of 2023

According to figures shared by Agrodata, between January and February 2023, Peru exported 12,187,342 kilos of ginger for a FOB value of 15,537,782 dollars. This is a higher volume and value than the 11,471,428 kilos exported for 15,119,879 dollars in the same period of 2021.

The main destination of Peruvian ginger in the first two months of 2023 was the United States, where the country's ginger shipments amounted to 6,122,212 dollars, which accounted for a 39% share of all shipments. The US was followed by the Netherlands with $5,106,769, the United Kingdom with $810,805, Spain with $724,873, Canada with $679,756, Germany with $547,167 and the Republic of Korea with $380,678.

The main exporting companies in the field were Agronegocios La Grama SAC with shipments worth 1,378,000 dollars, Elisur Organic SAC with shipments worth 936,000 dollars, JCH Organic SAC with shipments worth 891,000 dollars, Fruitxchange SAC with shipments worth 830,000 dollars, Vancard Peru SAC with shipments worth 735,000 dollars, and Kion Export SAC with shipments worth 489,000 dollars, among others.
