More Zero Residue vegetables available year round

"It is more laborious, and it needs a lot of attention and investment, but we are certain Zero Residue represents a guarantee for the environment and for product quality," explains Emile Fellini, from the company located in Gambettola (Forlì-Cesena).

"We can supply Zero Residue lettuce, radicchio, and Iceberg lettuce all year round. Some of the producers opted to follow our specifications scrupulously. We produce zero-residue vegetables in our Azienda Agricola 67 as well, and, in order to guarantee continuous supplies, we have set up state-of-the-art greenhouses."

The Zero Residue range includes lettuce, radicchio, fennel, as well as strawberries and agretti in the summer. "Fennel is particularly suitable for this type of cultivation. Our clients buy it packaged or loose. In the second case, each fennel head has a sticker to make it easily recognizable."

Fellini created packaging specific for this line to protect the produce and make it stand out.

"The specification is very strict, and only the varieties tolerant and resistant to the main diseases form part of it. We have achieved these results after four years of studies, research and tests. The control body is CCPB."
