"The equipment runs all year round, and the effect of removing defects exceeds customer expectations"

Reemoon's first Mexican avocado sorting equipment is put into operation

Mexico is a famous country for producing avocados, especially Tancitaro in Michoacán, Mexico. This area has a special geographical location and favorable climatic conditions. The avocados in this area bloom four times a year, which can realize the year-round supply of avocados. In the highly competitive avocado industry, ensuring uninterrupted production and providing customers with high-quality, consistent size and less defective products is one of the keys for producers to stand out. Frutas Finas is a large avocado processing plant in Mexico. The company invested in the installation of a sorting system from Reemoon, a Chinese sorting equipment manufacturer, at the beginning of this year. This is also Reemoon's first equipment in Mexico.

Fruscan S7 visual inspection system removes defects with high accuracy
Vincent, Sales Manager of Reemoon South America first introduced the background of Frutas Finas's selection of Reemoon's equipment.

"Frutas Finas is located in Tancitaro, Michoacán, Mexico, the main avocado production area in the world. In order to ensure the smooth processing of avocados throughout the year, it needs to purchase high-quality and durable sorting equipment with excellent effects. Before getting to know Reemoon, Frutas Finas watched the relevant videos of our equipment and heard about the Reemoon brand from their peers. They know that our latest FRUSCAN S7 system can effectively identify defects in avocados, and the whole set of equipment is more advantageous in price compared with other suppliers. Therefore, Frutas Finas decided to try our equipment. The equipment was installed in April, and within a short period of time, the first set of equipment in the Mexican market attracted local customers. The strong response, especially the defect sorting technology has been unanimously praised by them.”

Vincent continued to introduce the functions and features of this equipment, "two channels are used at the same time in this equipment, and it consists of an elevator, brush dust collector, sorting machine (weighing), visual inspection system, and central control platform, empty box conveyor line, and finished product conveyor line. It has the function of detecting the weight, size, color, and defects of fruits. One of the major features of the equipment is that it adopts the latest Fruscan S7 visual inspection system of Reemoon. It is possible to carry out separate mapping and modeling for various defects of avocados, and the detection function and accuracy have been improved. The latest visual inspection software system has the function of in-depth self-learning. With the accumulation of the sorting amount, the system will have more and more excellent performance", said Vincent, "The FRUSCAN S7 visual inspection system can accurately remove the defective fruits and realize the good fruit with good price. This is also one of the biggest advantages of Reemoon's equipment compared with similar products on the market. At present, this technology is very mature. In addition to this equipment in Mexico, FRUSCAN S7 has already been used in Peru and Colombia as well.”

"Customers could get the equipment investment back in less than a year"
"Before installing Reemoon's equipment, Frutas Finas used local sorting equipment in Mexico. But the previous equipment did not have the function of defect detection, and additional labor was required to select the defective fruits. After using our equipment, it saved the cost of at least 5 to 6 employees. In addition, the equipment runs at high speed and efficiency, and the empty box and finished product conveying layout are reasonable. The visual inspection effect is also perfect. Compared with the previous equipment, the production capacity has increased by about 30%”, Vincent said, “We conducted a calculation for the customer. It produces avocados locally throughout the year, and the equipment is basically in operation all year round. Based on the current equipment running time of at least 8 hours a day, it is expected that the customer can get the equipment investment back in 7-10 months.”

After being put into operation, Frutas Finas is very satisfied with the sorting function and quality of the equipment. Ms. Diana Laura Flores is the owner of Frutas Finas . She gave a very positive review, "The design of Reemoon's equipment is beautiful and the materials are solid. Although it took some time to model the defects, the final detection effect exceeded my expectations. This equipment is the best sorting equipment I have used so far. Reemoon also specially arranged an after-sales engineer to serve us to solve our worries about any after-sales problems. Next, we will work with Reemoon for further cooperation. We also welcome Reemoon to bring customers to our factory to visit this equipment.”

Provide localized services to improve the added value of products
With more and more projects in South America and more and more business coverage, Reemoon is currently preparing to establish a branch in Mexico. Vincent is in charge of the sales in the Americas. He talked about his insights into the Mexican market, "Currently, the degree of mechanization of fruit processing in Mexico is still very high, and fruit packaging plants with a certain scale are using electronic sorting equipment. However, most of the equipment is outdated. Under the background of such equipment replacement and technology change, Reemoon will definitely win a broad market in Mexico with our advanced technology, super high-cost performance, and high-quality service", Vincent said. "Reemoon entered the Mexican market a little later, and currently there is only one piece of equipment at Frutas Finas. But with the efforts of our sales and after-sales team in Mexico, we have accumulated a lot of potential customer resources. At present, our company has several local employees in the Mexican market, including sales and after-sales engineers. They are working together to write a new chapter in the land of Mexico."

When talking about the challenges and coping strategies for promoting avocado sorting technology in the Mexican market, Vincent said, "First of all, the market competition is relatively fierce. To stand out from many brands, our strategy is to highlight our technological advantages and improve the cost-effectiveness of our solution. Secondly, to provide a full range of after-sales services. For this, we have two ways, one is to reserve and cultivate overseas installation and after-sales teams in domestic factories. The other is to establish a branch in Mexico. We would like to get long-term employment with experienced engineers to provide more timely services. Third, we are committed to providing other services other than products. For example, for customers who use our equipment and want to export fruits to China, we will integrate the company resources to help customers export fruit to China.”

Jiangxi Reemoon Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. is mainly engaged in the research, development, and manufacture of post-harvest intelligent equipment for fruits and vegetables. The company also engages in post-harvest processing services for fruits and vegetables. Reemoon has also established a mechanical automation research institute, dedicated to the automation of the entire processing line to meet the needs of different customers.
