Of the 1,204 tons of floury-cooking potatoes sold, 204 tons were organic, representing an organic share of 17%.

Organic share of bananas continues to exceed 30 percent
Within Swiss retail, 1,863 tons of organic bananas were sold in January. Thus, January 2024 saw lower sales of organic bananas compared to the previous three years (e.g., 3.3% less than in January 2023), but significantly higher than in January of 2020 and 2019, when 1,620 tons and 1,661 tons were sold, respectively. The organic share was 32%, maintaining a level above the 30% mark as in the Januaries of the previous three years.
