The seizure occurred on March 12 at an Interstate 78 weigh station, where law enforcement discovered more than 6,200 pounds of marijuana concealed within pallets of oranges. The tractor-trailer, originating from California and destined for Long Island City, New York, raised suspicions leading to the discovery.
Two individuals from Hermosillo, Mexico, face charges of marijuana possession and possession with intent to distribute. Currently, they are detained at the Warren County Jail. Despite the charges, officials confirmed that both men were in the United States legally, with proper documentation.
