Sverdlovsk Region of Russia is gearing up to engage in investment projects within Tajikistan's borders.
The Tajik Consulate General in Yekaterinburg has revealed plans for constructing a centre dedicated to the storage, drying, sorting, packaging, and logistics of fruits and vegetables in the Khatlon Region.
This initiative was a focal point of discussion during an online meeting on January 29th between the Deputy Governor of Sverdlovsk Region, and the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Investments and State Property Management.
It has been noted that Tajik fruit and vegetable products are in high demand in the domestic market of the Middle Urals, including among the network trading organizations of the region; however, the volumes of its supplies and its representation leave something to be desired.
To address this, practical steps are being explored to enhance the situation within the first half of 2024.
