Filling punnets automatically without ruining fruits is not easy, but it is possible thanks to Zetapack's new machine CD 90, which will be presented at Fruit Logistica in Berlin.

"CD 90 is the name of the new fruit-counter suitable for yellow and red kiwifruit, apricots, plums and all other types of delicate fruits. Consumers are always looking for fruit that is nice to eat and at the right ripening level, but it is not easy for packagers to reach an ideal compromise. If all operations were carried out by hand, costs would be sky-high. Our technology helps abate costs while maintaining the utmost respect for the fruits, as if they were sorted manually," explains owner Nicola Antonacci.
"We managed to optimize a procedure that used to be manual in most cases, considering the delicacy of fruits, leading to high labor costs."
CD 90 guarantees the same gentleness while processing 90 punnets (and more per minute) with a maximum of 4 operators, considerably reducing costs.

"The new CD 90 was designed mainly for 3 to 6 fruit punnets of various type, and it can also be combined with an automatic sticker machine. This makes it possible to optimize the entire fruit processing procedure. We will welcome guests at Fruit Logistica in Berlin, stand 2.1 C-44, to showcase the new technology."
