Sophie Thill, Les Paysans de Rougeline:

“Red Label tomatoes with great taste!”

The very first Red Label tomatoes were marketed last year, but the year 2024 marks the launch of the first full season of the Red Label tomatoes. "The first Red Label tomatoes of the year have arrived! Harvesting will continue until the end of October," according to Sophie Thill, marketing and communications manager of Les Paysans de Rougeline.

A guarantee of tomatoes with great taste
"Red Label tomatoes are a guarantee of great taste and a point of reference on the shelves for consumers.

This superior taste is the result of extensive work carried out with AIFLG (Association of Fruit and Vegetables of Lot-et-Garonne) and our growers through the selection of varieties and very demanding management to obtain exceptional tomatoes.

This is only the beginning of these tomatoes' history, with 1,000 tons expected this year, and the aim of creating added value from producer to consumer."

Formats adapted to different consumption needs
"From small tomato bunches, ideal for aromatic salads or sandwiches, to round red cherry tomatoes in bulk or bunches for aperitifs, and elongated heart tomatoes for melting carpaccios, several formats are available to combine pleasure and practicality. This year includes a few novelties, such as small packaging without plastic.

Bulk cardboard packaging from 3 to 5 kg: available in 3 kg for cherry tomatoes in bunches, 3.5 kg for elongated hearts, and 5 kg for 'smaller' bunches.

Small closed UVC wood-fiber packaging: available in 1kg for 'smaller' bunches or cherry tomatoes in bunches, and in 1.5kg for elongated hearts."

Cardboard trays with a cellulose window for a clear view of the tomatoes: available in 300g for the cherry tomatoes in clusters and 250g without clusters."
