In the first two months of the current year, Azerbaijan witnessed a significant surge in both the import and export of fruits and vegetables.
According to the State Customs Committee, a total of 91,519 tons of fruits and vegetables were imported, amounting to $63,144,000.
This marks an increase of 20,647 tons (29%) in quantity and $16,225,000 (34.5%) in value compared to the same period in 2023.
Imports of fruits and vegetables accounted for 1.8% of Azerbaijan's total import expenditure during the reporting period.
