Azerbaijan's earnings from the export of fruits and vegetables in January-February 2024 totalled approximately $100 million.
According to reports from the State Customs Committee, Azerbaijan exported 87,071 tons of fruits and vegetables worth $99,481,000 during this period.
Analysis by APA-Economics, based on the State Customs Committee's report, reveals a significant increase in the annual comparison of exported fruits and vegetables. The value surged by $19.6 million, marking a 24.6% rise, while the volume increased by 19,000 tons, a 28% uptick. Comparatively, in the first two months of 2023, Azerbaijan exported 68,000 tons of fruits and vegetables, generating $79,851,000.
The share of fruits and vegetables in Azerbaijan's total exports for the first two months of this year amounted to 2.08%, with a notable presence in non-oil exports, constituting 21.86%.
