New director for Spanish Fedemco

The Spanish Federation of Wooden Light Weight Packaging and their Components (Fedemco) has announced the appointment of Guillermo Arregui Ferrando as its new director. With extensive experience in marketing, business development and proficiency in four languages, the appointment highlights the association's vision and new direction.

"My main task at Fedemco is to make the federation known not only in Spain but also in Europe. Only by promoting our work will we be able to influence the achievement of a European recycling policy for wooden packaging. We want this policy to be fair to our companies and our raw material", stresses Guillermo Arregui.

The new director holds a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Valencia and a diploma in International Business from Leeds Metropolitan University. He also completed his training by taking a master's degree in Commercial Management and Marketing at the Escuela Superior de IngenierĂa Comercial (ESIC) in Valencia. Arregui also has more than 20 years of experience in positions of responsibility in different areas, which he has held in Spain, Germany and the United States.

"I believe that my background in non-profit organisations and private companies helps me to understand the work and challenges that Fedemco faces. I hope that this background will be useful to detect the needs of our members. In short, what we want at Fedemco is to accompany and support the associates. We want to implement services that are of great value to them and, as a result, the federation
will continue to grow," he explains.
