"Oranges and apples are our most demanded fruits by UAE importers"

Oranges and apples are on the top of most requested Iranian fruits in the UAE, according to Mr. Hadi Mirzaei, CEO of Iranian exporter Darya Noosh Payab Trading. "Currently, the UAE market, especially Dubai, is working well for us. We are receiving interesting requests. We export many kinds of fruits and vegetables, and our biggest volumes are in apples and oranges" said Mr. Hadi.

The UAE remains the most important destination for Iranian fruit and vegetable exports. "The European market is still unfamiliar to us, though Iranian products may have a great potential there. We would also like to penetrate the North African markets. So far, we would prioritize maintaining a constant presence at the Gulfood exhibition, and we will expand to other markets over time."

For the exporter, the argument for adopting Iranian products is quality and price "We have very good quality fruits and vegetables at unbeatable prices. Our production costs are reasonably because of the low energy costs in Iran. The Iranian climate is very favorable, with four seasons and good soil quality. That is why we have fruits and vegetables that are not grown anywhere else in the world," explains Mr Hadi.

He concludes: "We source our produce from Iranian farmers who work in open fields and greenhouses. Currently, we are building our own greenhouse and will soon start growing our own produce".
