Retailer spotlights seasonal Mexican drink

The holiday season is most certainly a time for traditional drinks and Cardenas Markets, a supermarket chain specializing in Latin American foods, has put together a display around Ponche. Ponche is a beloved traditional Mexican fruit punch made up of sugarcane, walnuts, mandarin oranges, Mexican Hawthorns and guava.

“Our display was created to make a one-stop shop for all of our customers’ Ponche needs and they are loving the display,” said James Specht, senior director of produce merchandising for Cardenas. “Last year was the first year we created this version of the display and all the items selected for the display are those found in Ponche.”
