Solar powered cold storage across the state of Odisha in India will be installed to keep fresh produce cool.
The Solar cold rooms will be set up in 1 000 village areas that is aimed at boosting the income of farmers who would be able to keep their vegetables and fruit for longer. They will be able to sell it at the right time and price to traders.
It is hoped that more farmers will take up farming with these cold storage solutions. It will be set up in districts that produce more produce while others are being developed.
