Tanzania's Ruvuma avocado production region is expected to reach 37 000 tons by 2025. This follows robust growth strategies they have put in place, the regional commissioner Col. Laban Thomoas told the media.
The current 2 446 hectares produce 1 769 tons with the target set for 2025. They aim to have more quality avo seeds, increase production per hectare. China is the intended export market.
