China-Laos railway freight volume grows substantially

The new China-Laos railway has, within the first year, increased cargo transport to over 10 million metric tons, carrying mainly fruit and other goods. 

The railway connects China with other Asian neighbouring countries and has already carried cross border cargo of 1.8 million tons worth 12 billion yuan ($1.7 billion).
