Container traffic out of India shows 5.4% decrease compared to last year

Container traffic out of India's 12 largest government ports showed a 5.4% decline down to 893 000 TEU's from 944 000 last year.

According to data from Container News the slowing container flow is due to a downturn in export trade. Another network of smaller non-government ports shows similar trends of flat growth pointing to slower global trade.
