Qatar: Ministry of Public Health warns against possible E. coli contaminated leafy vegetables

The Qatari Ministry of Public Health is warning consumers against consuming leafy vegetable products, spinach or arugula, of a certain brand and origin due to possible contamination with E. coli.

According to the Ministry, a notification was received through the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) about the product. The ministry had taken immediate necessary precautionary measures, reaching out to suppliers to immediately withdraw the product from the market. Inspectors have been deployed to verify that the relevant sales points are free of it as an additional precaution.

The leafy vegetable products in particular are of the brand Hollands Glorie from the Netherlands, with a lot number of 238294. The Ministry of Public Health calls upon consumers, in the event of purchasing the leafy vegetable mentioned above, not to consume them and to dispose of or return them to the outlet.
