In the past few days, imported fruits such as durian, kiwi, and citrus from Southeast Asia, New Zealand, and South America arrived at Yantian Port in Shenzhen, and they were efficiently distributed from the designated supervision site for imported fruits to Shenzhen and the surrounding areas of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The trade volume of imported cold chain goods of Yantian International has continued to increase on a large scale in recent years. As of July this year, the import of fruit has increased by more than 500%, and a large number of imported fruits are sent to consumers in China from all over the world.
Under the care and guidance of the General Administration of Customs and Shenzhen Customs, and with the strong support of the Shenzhen Municipal Government and the Yantian District Government, Yantian International actively applied for the establishment of designated supervision sites for imported fruits. In accordance with customs supervision and pandemic prevention and control requirements, the construction of the imported fruit customs inspection area and integrated cold chain storage facilities successfully passed the inspection and acceptance.
At present, Yantian International Depot has nearly 4,000 refrigerated container sockets, which can meet the needs of import and export refrigerated containers, ensuring that the terminal will not be unable to receive containers due to the shortage of refrigerated container sockets. There are two special constant temperature inspection fields for the cold chains inside and outside the terminal, equipped with 45 inspection positions, which can provide a safe and efficient guarantee for the rapid inspection of imported and exported fruits and other frozen products.
