King Abdullah Port supports Saudi Arabian exports with new liner service

King Abdullah Port recently received a maiden call from leading global container shipping company MSC’s Indus 2 service. Developments like these will help to further develop Saudi Arabia’s thriving export market while also facilitating trade between North America and the Indian subcontinent.

King Abdullah Port will provide efficient services for containers transported on MSC vessels for goods imported from Mundra Port, India's largest private container port, to King Abdullah Port.

Commenting on the new port call in the Indus 2 liner service, Jay New, Chief Executive Officer of King Abdullah Port, said: “We are excited to begin receiving shipments from Mundra Port as the Indus 2 liner service’s primary MENA region container terminal. The addition of King Abdullah Port to MSC's liner service reaffirms our role as a major enabler of international Saudi trade and one of the world’s most important ports.”
