"The Técnicas Sanjorge (TSJ) company has announced it will begin its expansion phase on the African continent in Morocco via the hiring of Omar Taleb, an agricultural engineer with more than 15 years of experience in the sector, responsible for Development and Commercial Expansion," stated the company, which specializes in providing services and the development of agricultural solutions.
"Morocco is a strategic location that will boost TSJ's marketing network, allowing it to offer its customers a more efficient and closer service."
"Agriculture accounts for approximately 14% of Morocco's GDP and employs around 34.56% of the country's workforce. These numbers, however, have decreased in recent years due to the growth of other sectors such as tourism and trade. Irrigation agriculture occupies only about 14% of the country's cultivated area and represents about 60% of its total agricultural production, accounting for 16% of its GDP's added value. This type of agriculture accounts for approximately 82% of vegetable production."

With this opening, TSJ seeks to enhance its presence within Morocco and its area of influence, where it still has room for growth. The organization has focused its first development phase on marketing new, more resistant greenhouse structures, hydroponics, and irrigation systems to increase crop productivity, save water, and reduce costs.

As a starting point in this new process, the company will participate in the international SIAM 2024 fair, where it will be located in stand 8 of the Spain Pavilion.
This is the fair's 16th edition. The event will be held in Meknes (Morocco), from April 22 to 28.
