Fabio Altamura (Op Altamura) about distribution and sales

"Our powdered leaf line has piqued the curiosity of the Horeca sector"

"We started marketing a few days ago and we expect to expand the line already this year," says Fabio Altamura, vice-president of Altamura's producers' organization, based in Pontecagnano Faiano (Italy), of the recently launched leaf powder line.

"At the moment our line includes rocket, Swiss chard, parsley, lamb's lettuce and spinach powders. It is a completely natural dried product and can be used in many ways in the kitchen, from decorating dishes to preparing pizza or bread dough. At the recent trade fairs that we have attended, such as Fruit Logistica, there has been a great deal of curiosity, especially among those who work in the Horeca sector, where this type of product is particularly appreciated."

There was, and still is, great interest in the new Chef's Salad line, in a large format (500-gram bag), ideal for the Horeca sector. "What really aroused interest, was the design. It has been created with the aim of involving the food service sector and enhancing the work of the chefs who do the preparation and serving of our products. The design was inspired by a popular Netflix series", says Altamura.

There is also a growing demand for fresh-cut products. "In February we launched the new Mama Salad lines in bags, including iceberg, radicchio and sugar loaf mix and mixed salad with carrots. We are already supplying the products to several large Italian and foreign distribution platforms."

Consolidating its market positioning and relationships with its partners, while continuing to work steadily and always prioritizing quality and freshness, is the future goal of the producers' organization.

"We certainly expect to continue the growth trend and are counting on increasing the number of partners in the coming months. For example, our participation in the last edition of Fruit Logistica in Berlin allowed us to meet all our partners and also new potential customers, who appreciated the work of our producers' organization."
