Providing relief for crops devastated by Hurricanes Ian and Nicole

Hurricane relief assistance for citrus farmers passes US House

On Thursday, House Lawmakers passed the Block Grant Assistance for Citrus Farmers. The legislation aims to provide relief for agriculture producers devastated by Hurricanes Ian and Nicole. The Block Assistance Act (H.R. 662), was introduced in February to ensure the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) can provide relief to agriculture producers devastated by Hurricanes Ian and Nicole.

Congresswoman Kat Cammack, who serves as Florida’s Third Congressional District, spoke on behalf of the bill she says is set to help support specialty crops.
