Fruit Attraction records 80% occupancy within five months of celebrating its 15th anniversary

Fruit Attraction will celebrate its 15th anniversary from October 3 to 5 and, according to Maria Jose Sanchez, the director of the fair, five months before the start of the fair it already has an occupation of 80%. Sanchez presented the 2023 edition of the fair, which is organized by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, at the Embassy of Brazil on the occasion of its participation as a Prominent Importing Country. Jorge F. Brotons, president of FEPEX, and Orlando Leite Ribeiro, ambassador of Brazil to Spain, also spoke at the event.

So far, 46,602 m² of the exhibition area have already been conferred, i.e. 8% more than on the same date of the previous year. The forecasts for the next edition are optimistic with participation figures that stand at 1,800 companies from 55 countries, more than 58,000 m² of fruit and vegetable offer, and the attendance of 90,000 professionals from 130 countries.

Fruit Attraction 2023 will occupy eight pavilions of the IFEMA MADRID fairgrounds –3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10–, making the city a global epicenter for the marketing of fresh products. Fruit Attraction is well-known among operators and retailers around the world as a place where to present their innovation, quality, and diversity and plan their campaigns at a very strategic moment, the month of October.

Andalusia, Fruit Attraction 2023's Guest Region
As a Guest Region, Andalusia will have an outstanding role and strategic visibility to promote to the whole world the fruits and vegetables of all its provinces and the extraordinary quality of its productions.

Specific areas
Under the slogan "Growing together!", the great trade event of the fruit and vegetable sector will be organized around six exhibition areas. The Fresh Produce section will, once again, be its largest section. It will bring together producers, who will showcase all kinds of fruit and vegetable products, the Auxiliary Industry, which brings together the entire value chain of the sector, and Fresh Food Logistics. Fruit Attraction will once again bet on transformation solutions through innovation, sustainability, and digitalization with the Smart Agro Area and Biotech Attraction. It will also strengthen its Ecorganic Market. Lettuce will be the star product of Fruit Attraction 2023.

The Guest Importing Countries initiative, which has Brazil, Canada, and the United States as protagonists, is once again part of the powerful International Buyers Program. It will favor commercial relations between EU countries and non-EU markets, covered by a complete program of round tables, guided visits to the fair, and B2B sessions.

In addition, the fair will once again host the Innovation Hub Awards, which have become a fundamental event to support the sector's entrepreneurial commitment.
