Denkers B.V. specializes in all forms of transport. Although the company initially focused on overseas shipping, demand for air freight from its current customer base has soared, and the company is now setting up a separate department to handle all customer requests in this area. From 1 February 2023, Denkers Air B.V. will be ready for take-off.

Until February this year, all air freight shipments were processed by Denkers Shipping B.V. and Denkers International B.V. Although the company is active in various sectors, it is best known in the industry for exporting and importing flower bulbs. Denkers has strong relationships with various agents around the world and even has its own office in Chile to serve customers for Chilean exports and imports.
“Air freight is hardly a new phenomenon; it’s a growing sector that we can and want to serve,” says company director Mark Woertman. “Especially in light of the increase in demand for transporting products such as cuttings, cut flowers, and flower bulbs by plane. By setting up a separate company, we will be able to devote even more time and effort to air freight. And with our newly recruited staff, we will be able to continue to provide the same level of customer care and service that people have come to expect from us.”
The main focus will be on serving existing customers and expanding in this area, but of course, there is also potential for growth. We have recently recruited a new member of staff who is an expert in air freight and perishables. Thanks to her many years of experience in the air freight industry, she will be able to provide suitable solutions and proposals for customers and their requirements.
“We considered taking this step back in 2014, but we were simply too busy to take on something of this magnitude,” concludes Mark. “Fortunately, we are still busy, and it is precisely this level of activity, driven by the continued demand for our services and the loyalty of our clients, that has given us the confidence to take this step now. The knowledge we have gained over the years, and the team’s enthusiasm will undoubtedly enable us to deliver the same high level of service for air freight shipments as we do for overseas shipments.”
