With the constant modernization of the agricultural sector in the Arab world and the increasing orientation to exports, the demand for machinery investments is increasing. Mr. Ahmed Heiza, general manager of Misr Vision, an Egyptian distributor of agricultural machinery, estimates this growth in Egypt alone to be up to 25-30% in 2022 compared to 2021.
The types of machinery most in demand right now, especially in Egypt, are optical sorters and X-ray machines. "The fruit and vegetable processing industry is developing intensively in Egypt. In addition to health issues, ensuring the nutritional value of products makes it mandatory to invest in reliable freezing tunnel,optical sorters and X-ray machines to maintain product quality and protect the brand of food producers, especially in the face of fierce competition."

The machines distributed by Misr Vision originate from Belgium, Finland, and Poland, and are marketed in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. "We're an exclusive agent in Egypt for Tomra Food, Unidex, Verbruggen, and Mekitec," concludes Mr. Heiza.
