A Malaysian company, PLS Plantations, has just signed an agreement to ramp up durian exports to China. This is part of a deal they signed with COFCO Food Import Co Ltd, the largest food processor, manufacturer and trader in China.

The two companies are looking at an annual import volume of 200 million yuan ($28.25 million) of Durians from Malaysia to China. This includes unique durian varieties only grown in Malaysia that include Musan King, Red Prawn and D24.
