“Nadorine, Naturally Low Seed®”

New quality label for the Moroccan Nadorcott

The Moroccan Nadorcott has a new quality label, “Nadorine, Naturally Low Seed®”, allowing it to highlight its territory of origin, while guaranteeing the exceptional nature and authenticity of this 100% natural mandarin variety.

Created and launched in 2022 at the initiative of the Association of Nadorcott Producers in Morocco (APNM), the new label : Nadorine, Naturally Low Seed, replaces the previous one, Morocco Nadorcott Seedless "MNS".

This new label, defended by the Association of Nadorcott Producers in Morocco (APNM), guarantees the exceptional quality of the Moroccan Nadorcott which is characterized by a low seed rate, as well as a homogeneity of its visual and organoleptic characteristics over the seasons.

Beyond the fruit, the new label also seeks to highlight the commitment of the Association's producers and exporters to preserving a fruit of exceptional quality that stands out.

The Moroccan Nadorcott : Origin and distinctive characteristics
Cultivated in the sunny lands of Morocco, the Nadorcott variety benefits from unprecedented agro-ecological management in various regions of the Kingdom: Chichaoua, Marrakech, Souss, Gharb, Safi, Béni-Mellal, Berkane and Kelaa.

It is thus produced in isolated orchards which are meticulously and regularly checked and supervised. This isolation allows the Moroccan Nadorcott to distinguish itself from other varieties, since it ensures its natural self-sterility, prevents its cross-pollination by other citrus varieties and guarantees, in particular, its low seed rate, all without genetic manipulation.

Morocco is, moreover, one of the rare countries to preserve this 100% natural practice.

The Moroccan Nadorcott : A meticulously controlled production
In order to preserve the premium quality of the Moroccan Nadorcott, the Association of Nadorcott Producers “APNM” carries out a conscientious control of the fruit, through different methods :

• Variety identification system to ensure traceability to origin.

• Traceability system offering an additional guarantee of varietal authenticity and origin.

• Control of compliance with the specifications by an independent control company.

• Verification of the authenticity of the variety and the seed rate by a competent establishment.

The Moroccan Nadorcott producers and “APNM” members are also committed to adopting sustainable agriculture that reduces the impact on the environment. This requires natural preventive means, such as friendly insects, which protect crops, while biologically fighting pests, but also so-called "Eco-Friendly" approaches which limit and rationalize the use of toxic treatment products, and who strive to preserve the natural fauna.

The Moroccan Nadorcott: Late availability
The production of the variety takes place from January to the end of April, which allows late availability and sales on stalls in Morocco and around the world. A late availability that distinguishes it from other varieties of mandarins.

New label and new website
With the launch of the new quality label, a website, exclusively dedicated to the Moroccan Nadorcott, www.nadorine.com has been created to immerse aficionados in the world of this Moroccan mandarin with its naturally unique characteristics.
