Peru maintains growth of 26% compared to previous blueberry campaign

With the export of 17,256 tons in week 41, fresh blueberry shipments from Peru decreased 1% compared to week 40. However, they increased 26% compared to week 41 of last season.

Shipments to virtually all markets have grown:

  • The US has been growing 24% compared to the previous campaign, accumulating 87,863 tons, of which 8,981 tons were shipped in week 41, which means more than 18% compared to week 41 of last season.
  • In Europe, growth is 41% compared to the previous campaign, accumulating 42,443 tons, of which 4,901 tons were shipped in week 41, which translates into 33% more than what was shipped in week 41 of the previous season.
  • China has been growing 38% compared to the previous campaign, accumulating 25,421 tons of which 2,426 tons were shipped in week 41, a significant increase of 106% compared to the figures for week 41 of the previous campaign.
