The first three quarters of 2022

Import of Southeast Asian fruits at Shenzhen Airport Port increased by 143% year-on-year

In the first three quarters of 2022, the cumulative import of Southeast Asian fruits through Shenzhen Airport Port increased by 143% year-on-year. Shenzhen Airport Port has continuously enriched the imported fruit categories by taking advantage of the routes in Southeast Asia and has built a green channel for fruit imports in Southeast Asia with a more convenient logistics network and efficient customs clearance guarantee.

Recently, fresh fruits such as custard apples, pineapples, and mangosteen from Thailand have successfully arrived at the designated fruit inspection site at Shenzhen Airport. After completing the inspection by customs, the fruits are successively shipped to major supermarkets. Fruits from Southeast Asia are picked from orchards and put on domestic shelves. The whole process of sales is less than 12 hours, and they are ready to be listed as "fresh" as possible.

To meet the needs of full-time fresh fruit customs clearance and help enterprises expand their businesses, Shenzhen Baoan Airport Customs has launched a customized customs clearance model for imported fruits, so as to grasp the flight status and logistics time nodes in advance. When the imported fresh fruit arrives at the airport inspection area, the inspection customs officers quickly complete the inspection and release, and realize "inspect and release immediately upon arrival" and 7×24-hour fast customs clearance.

In September, the number of flights from Shenzhen to Southeast Asia reached 75 per week, a year-on-year increase of 22.9%. Shenzhen Baoan Airport Customs combines the characteristics of the trade between the two regions, focusing on supporting the creation of a "special airline for imported fresh fruit", and at the same time supporting the coordinated development of multimodal transport and idling business.

The relevant person in charge of Shenzhen Haoshunda International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. said that the route from Shenzhen Airport to Southeast Asia has more options. The flight time is more in line with the supply law, and the space is sufficient and more flexible. Imported fruit merchants favor Shenzhen Airport.
