France: Start-up growing fruit and vegetables in empty offices at Rungis

Independent Living Base will install an indoor farm in some empty offices at the Rungis market to produce a dozen tons of fruit and vegetables per year.

Created in 2019, the start-up specializes in the construction of above-ground, self-sustaining growing rooms and has signed a contract with Icade to set up its activities just next to the Rungis market.

The first harvests should take place in January 2023.
