New simple and effective system to process celery

Celery is now a standard product, meaning processing lines must follow precise criteria as well. Bulltec has recently installed a new line at Fellini Patrizio, a company specializing in the production, processing and commercialization of vegetables.

“Our experience with Bulltec has been absolutely positive. First of all, we appreciated the enthusiasm and positive approach they had towards us. They were helpful and immediately open to collaborate to understand our needs and, together, we developed and improved the machine performances," explains co-owner Emile Fellini.

Fellini reported multiple advantages in the processing of celery using the new line. The produce coming from the fields is cleaned directly on the machine, the waste is collected and placed into bins by a conveyor.

The clean celery is placed on a dedicated conveyor, then it is automatically tied with the band requested. The machine can also place on the product a label with the information required by the client.

"We have envisaged 4 operators preparing and cleaning the product and one placing the tied product into crates. The line can process around 30 pieces per minute."

More specifically, the positive effects Fellini reported thanks to the new line are the following: organization of the work in a smaller space an greater machine tidiness and cleanliness; increase in the production capacity per person of around 25%; more homogeneous and cleaner tying; less time spent verifying the weight.

"Our work continues to find solutions for the needs of companies. In this specific case, Fellini helped us create a complete machine from the point of view of processing, integrating a weighing and label-printing system for the recognition of graded celery," explains Bulltec owner Ruggero Ricci.

Ricci stresses the advantage of working with structured companies that boast significant experience, as they are well aware of their needs when it comes to processing and performance and, as a consequence, of the characteristics of the systems they need.

"Our philosophy remains that of manufacturing simple machines with strong and hard-wearing mechanics, equipped with just the right the electronic components needed. As is well known, what is not there cannot break. This project also confirmed the winning choice of manufacturing systems that can be managed, maintained and cleaned easily."
