Imported fruits enter the adjustment period during the off-season

In July, the transaction volume and value of imported fruits in the Haiguangxing Fruit Trading Center decreased by 3.81% and 3.63% respectively year-on-year. The average price was 22.54RMB/kg, a year-on-year increase of 0.19%. Among them, pitaya ranks first in sales. At this time of year, it is a concentrated market period for pitaya, so it also ushered in the peak sales season.

Because of the large volume, the price is relatively affordable, with an average price of 7.95RMB/kg with a year-on-year decrease of 21.01%. Imported pitaya is mainly from Vietnam. In terms of varieties, the sweet and fleshy red pitaya is more popular with consumers. The sales volume is nearly four times higher than that of the white ones, and the average price is 9.12RMB/kg.

Analysis of the reasons: Thai mangosteen growers have faced many problems in the past few years, such as the unstable market of mangosteen, the lowering of prices by middlemen, the rising cost of picking workers, the obstruction of fruit exports, and the lack of processing factories.

In addition, the market is looking forward to the new season of Rockit apples to open up a new situation in the sales of imported apples. As the temperature continues to rise, coconut has once again become a popular product in the fresh fruit and beverage market. Coconut juice is sweet and not greasy, known as "the drink that grows on the tree", and is a good choice for summer drinks. Consumers' pursuit of beverages is no longer limited to healthy nutrition, but also natural and fresh. Under the joint promotion of health, nutrition, freshness and other needs, coconut has become the mainstream.

Coconut water also enjoys the reputation of "water of life". The electrolytes it contains can replenish body water, and it has developed into a huge market with rich product diversity, and the coconut market will maintain a steady upward trend in the next few years.
