From September 28 to 30, the exhibition center in the southern Turkish city of Antalya will once again open its doors. At the annual industry event Interfresh Eurasia, domestic producers and exporters will meet with partners and traders from all over the world. The fair is also gradually gaining in importance among German direct importers, as Cevdet Cavusoglu, Managing Director of Fresh&Cash GmbH, based in Wuppertal-Vohwinkel, tells us. He is represented this year for the first time as a sub-exhibitor on the stand of his business partner LunaFresh.

The trade fair has developed very well in recent years, Cavusoglu notes. "Many of our partners we have never met in person. So for us, it's a great opportunity both to maintain our existing network and to talk to potential new suppliers. And all this at a concentrated location. Interfresh is also an interesting platform for acquiring new customers. Because this year there are also many visitors from Germany and the Netherlands."

Growth in exotic and damson exports
Cavusoglu also pointed to the professionalization of Turkey's agricultural sector and the country's high export potential. "A good example is the rapid development of exotic crops. More pitahayas and avocados are exported abroad every year. Turkish damsons also showed up more in German wholesalers this year. As a fruit trader with a focus on Turkey, it is important for me to inquire locally about these trends in cultivation there," he concludes.
