Last week, the Limgroup held the third edition of its Limgroup Experience Days in the Netherlands. Wednesday, May 10 to Friday, May 12, were devoted to giving the public a behind-the-scenes look at the Limgroup range's latest innovations and the mutual exchange of knowledge and experience.
On Wednesday and Thursday, Limgroup clients were given a personal tour of those latest innovations and developments, including existing and soon-to-be asparagus and strawberry varieties. Limgroup got the chance to explain and discuss the various varieties in more detail, as well as highlight varieties that Limgroup plans to launch soon.
The new Inspiration Day, held on the event's last day, featured 25 asparagus and strawberry sector company exhibition stands. From plant breeders to crop protection, machine builders to beekeepers - the entire chain was represented. Harvesting demonstrations were also organized, with machine builders demonstrating their harvesting systems and techniques to interested visitors.
John Schoeber, Marketing & Sales Manager at Limgroup, is satisfied with how the days went. "It was great to be able to welcome so many people involved in the sector," he says. "There were some 250 to 300 visitors. There were even people from Spain, France, Italy, and South Korea, which shows there's a need from the sector for such events. One where the whole chain gathers. It's vital and valuable to share our latest developments with the sector and exchange ideas so we can jointly look to the asparagus and strawberry sector's future. We think this third edition was very successful; we're already looking forward to next year," John concludes.
