"The export volume of Sanya tree-ripened Guifei mango increased by 20%"

Among the characteristic mangoes in Sanya, Hainan, China, the tree-ripened Guifei mango has sufficient juice, a rich taste, and a thin core. Its peel is yellow-red and bright in appearance. It is one of the main mango varieties grown in Hainan, and it is also a high-quality variety among the mangoes exported from China.

Guifei mangoes are smaller in size, and a single fruit is about 100-200g. The annual production season is from January to June, and the taste is at its best in March. In order to understand the relevant information about the new season of Sanya Guifei mango, FreshPlaza recently communicated with Mr. Peng Shidun, from Sanya Junfulai Industrial Co., Ltd.

"Our tree-ripened mangoes are exported by air to more than ten countries and regions, including the European Union, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, and arrive at the target market within 72 hours.

"The characteristic of "tree-ripened" mangoes is that they are picked after they are ripe on the tree, so the sugar content and taste are better. Air transportation can ensure the taste and freshness of mangoes.

"In the export market, because Singapore is relatively close to China, it is now preparing to export by sea. The export price of tree-ripened Guifei mango this year is basically the same as last year, and the export volume has increased by about 10%-20%. This variety is a high-end mango series in the export market, with a price of more than ¥200/kg, second only to Japan's Miyazaki mango," Peng introduced the current export situation of Guifei Mango.

"Restricted by the land area, mango planting in Hainan cannot not increase much at present. This year's output is the same as last year, with a slight increase. Although there was a drought and little rain last year, many growers have installed drip irrigation facilities, which greatly reduced the impact of the drought on the harvest.

"On the other hand, due to the lack of rain, the quality of mangoes this year is better and the taste is sweeter. In addition, thanks to Hainan's climatic advantages, more mangoes from Sanya were on the market in the first half of the year, which is one of the competitive advantages of mangoes produced from Sanya.

"In the domestic market,” Peng said that, "due to the impact of the current economic environment, the price of tree-ripened Guifei mangoes is basically the same as before, while the prices of other mango varieties have dropped."

Sanya Junfulai Industrial Co., Ltd., is specialized in Sanya tree-ripened Guifei mangoes, which have obtained GAP certification. The company integrates planting, packaging and sales. It has a mango planting base of over 333 hectares, with an annual output of 5,000 tons of mango.

The mango brand is "Fufan", and it is the designated mango supplier of Hainan Boao Forum. The company has domestic sales and export business. Domestic sales channels include high-end supermarkets, fruit chain stores, e-commerce, and wholesale markets. The export market covers more than ten countries and regions such as the European Union, Canada, and Saudi Arabia.
