Among the localities of Gia Lai, Lam Dong, and Tien Giang, Tien Giang was granted the most planting area codes with a total of 27 codes. At present, the nation has 246 planting area codes and 97 packaging facility codes that fully meet the requirements to export products to the Chinese market.
Durian represents a fruit of high economic value, with the fruit being forecast to become an export item worth billions of US$ this year. Furthermore, China remains the world's largest durian consumption market and opened for Vietnamese durian from September 9, 2022. Since then, the price of domestic durian in the nation has continuously increased, ranging from between VND160,000 and VND200,000 per kilo.
