World Cup-themed stand a hit at Fruit Logistica

Fruit Logistica brought together attendees from around the world and offered exhibitors a platform to showcase their products and make contacts with potential buyers.

It was the sixth time Salix Fruits, an importer and exporter of fresh fruits, participated and this year it had a unique booth and one of the most popular and photographed in the fair.

Salix's booth was home to a World Cup replica trophy.

The booth featured wallpaper with Lionel Messi and the Argentinian national team holding the World Cup, making Salix’s booth good scenery for plenty of assistants that took pictures with a World Cup replica trophy.

“We were very happy to welcome our customers and suppliers again at Fruit Logistica. This year we had a bigger stand and a new location to receive all our friends,” says Ignacio Vidales, sales manager at Salix Fruits. “2022 was a very important and challenging year for us. We were acquired by Grubmarket in April, which was a significant boost for our company.”

The booth also featured wallpaper with Lionel Messi and the Argentinian national team holding the World Cup.

This year, Salix opened a new office in Spain. The company also had a big development in its Indian office where it developed greater supply from Morocco, Egypt and Turkey--especially focusing on its citrus business.

“We also continued our strong leadership in the U.S. business with the import of citrus from all over the world, especially Spain, Morocco and Argentina. This year we expect an improvement in the logistic rates which will be very good for our business to continue growing all over the world,” said Vidales.
