Sustainably grown bananas and pineapples in spotlight at Fruit Logistica

Kapi Kapi Growers (Grupo Acon), a producer and exporter of premium pineapples and bananas, will showcase its product offerings at Fruit Logistica next week in Berlin, Germany. Since 1987, the company has utilized the diverse and ideal growing regions across Costa Rica to supply retailers, wholesalers and distributors with a premium, year-round supply of pineapple and bananas. Kapi Kapi also offers multiple alternatives in terms of packaging specifications and delivery locations to best serve customers’ specific needs.

“This is a key industry event we look forward to attending every year to build upon our connections with current business partners and grow new commercial relationships,” said Jorge Acón, director for Kapi Kapi Europe. “Along with our expansion in North America, a top company goal this year is to continue to expand our presence in the European markets and ensure previous and new customers are more familiar with our brand and products.”

Kapi Kapi offers multiple alternatives in terms of packaging specifications and delivery locations to best serve customers’ specific needs.

The producer maintains a consistent focus on sustainability. It invests heavily in farm and packhouse food safety as well as health and education programs while making a positive impact on the environment by producing sustainable and carbon-neutral products.

“We look forward to seeing everyone at the show and sharing a deeper look at our unique sustainability initiatives,” said Acón. “With our recent announcement to expand further into the North American market, we will continue to build lasting connections and ensure we can continue to drive retail sales with a purpose-driven brand.”
