Organized by the Apeo association

A charter flight that connects the Apulian region to Fruit Logistica

Fruit Logistica 2023, the German international trade fair for the fruit and vegetable sector, is about two weeks away, however the enthusiasm is already felt among Italian operators.

Such as from Apulia, one of the regions with the largest number of exhibitors at the fair, namely hundreds of entrepreneurs, institutions and visitors will attend the Berlin-based event. To this regard, Apeo (Associazione Produttori Esportatori Ortofrutticoli) has arranged a charter flight in order to ensure flexibility and avoid stressful circumstances, especially at a time when flights have become hard to find and tickets more expensive.

Giacomo Suglia

We talked about this with Giacomo Suglia, president of the aforementioned Apulian association and vice president of Fruitimprese. "There will be 180 people leaving Bari airport in the early afternoon of 7 February 2023 and returning from the German capital on the evening of 10 February. This requires meticulous organization, allowing operators/travelers to be present at their booth for the duration of the fair. We want to ensure ultimate comfort in travel, without having to make stopovers, caused by the current very limited availability of Bari-Berlin routes as a result of the pandemic."

The airline chosen by APEO for air cab service is Poland's Enter Air. "Once they land," says Suglia, "the operators will be escorted to the several affiliated German hotels. There will also be a regional councilor. There is a good vibe and a keen entrepreneurial interest among Apulian operators, who are still proactive and driven after a difficult year marked by struggles and energy price hikes. The Apulian group is always on board for worldwide events. This represents an opportunity to find new market outlets not only in Europe, but also in Asia and America."
