"The various international retail chains send us their orders for fruit and vegetables from Sicily, Apulia, Calabria, Campania and Latium; we bundle all the goods, organize pickups, control the loading temperature, organize the whole process of documents from the simple DDT to CMR, and in the case of Switzerland, also customs documents, and lastly, we track the vehicles until their destination."
That's how, in a nutshell, Romina Roccasalvo, administrator of "Next to Business," an international consulting and business services company based in Ispica (RG), Sicily, sums up one of the most relevant activities of her company.

It is a matter of professionalizing the management of logistics in all its parts, an event that unfortunately at the moment leaves wide room for approximation, with negative repercussions on the trade flows of the companies that move the outbound goods."

"In addition to assisting Italian and foreign large-scale retailers, we also support, as mentioned, our partner carriers," adds the interviewee. "Here we distinguish between two services, with carriers that deal only with exports, our services end with on-time delivery to the destination, while for those that operate in the import/export sector, the return trip to Italy is organized with immediate re-loading in the unloading area abroad. We then accompany the drivers until they return to Italy. Such availability on our part allows the client to have more means at their disposal, since even those who do not have the possibility, because they are not structured to do so, can make their resources as efficient as possible from abroad and make it economically viable to return to base."
