Lincolnshire and Rutland 'Ag zone' created to boost farming

An agricultural zone has been created in Lincolnshire and Rutland in the United Kingdom to grow the farming sector through a skills pipeline and professional development.

About 11%, over £2 billion of crops and livestock of the British total, are produced in the farms in the great Lincolnshire region. The new zone will continue to attract investment and research that has already seen £60 million since 2016. New agri-tech businesses have also been established in the area as a result while additional funding will be sourced to help Lincolnshire farmers to use the technology to their benefit.
