Farmers doing well in India's ‘Strawberry Village’

The production of strawberries in the Kashmir region's Gassu village, known as India's 'Strawberry Village,' has received a boost from the national and regional governments. This provides more work and opportunities for the youth and women.

Farmers' investment of Rs 6 lakh ($7386) is supplemented by a Rs 2.86 ($3 520) government subsidy to produce a yield of up to Rs 20 Lakhs ($24 620).
