UK brassica crop "won't stop growing"

Despite a dry summer and mild autumn weather the UK's brassica crop simply "won't stop growing" harvest managers reported.

While other crops were affected by changing and challenging weather patterns Riverford Organic Farm has seen bumper crops. This includes giant cabbages, cauliflower, kale and leeks, that are unperturbed by the weather and seems to be thriving despite of it. It seems the 'confusion' by the changing weather lead to the brassica's growing and all ripening at the same time, called flushing.

UK consumers are encouraged to eat locally grown produce that ripen at the same time as more climate change conditions will cause this more often.
