Construction of the largest SPAR logistics center in Croatia has begun in Donja Zdenčina. On an area of 410,000 square meters, the new central warehouse of more than 75,000 square meters is being built. When completed, the new logistics center will have a total capacity of over 100,000 pallets and will be the new workplace for around 500 employees. The opening of the new central warehouse is planned for late 2024. It will form the cornerstone for further expansion in Croatia.

SPAR Croatia is investing heavily, continuing its successful expansion course. "As a sustainable and healthy growing company in Central Europe, we are constantly modernizing our logistics. In Croatia, we have therefore developed a master plan for logistics, the basis of which is the new central warehouse in Donja Zdenčina," SPAR CEO Paul Klotz explained the investments in warehouse logistics, adding, "Modern and functioning warehouse logistics is the key to SPAR's continued successful expansion in Croatia.
One warehouse for the whole of Croatia
Donja Zdenčina will be home to SPAR Croatia's only warehouse and logistics center from the end of 2024. With its proximity to the highway, excellent connections to the local road and rail network, and public transportation, the warehouse is embedded in an outstanding infrastructure. In addition to a larger area, the new central warehouse also offers the possibility of more efficient truck loading and store deliveries. In the future, all Croatian SPAR and INTERSPAR stores will be supplied with the entire product range from there.
